How to Enjoy A Girlfriends’ Weekend Getaway at This Virginia B&B

Why A Girlfriends’ Weekend Getaway Is So Darned Important

Girlfriends walking down the streetMaybe you grew up together or met in college or became friends at a former job. The place and the time don’t really matter.

But career paths took you and your friends in different directions. What didn’t change was your friendship! Marriage, kids, and work responsibilities make it harder to stay in touch, but that need to connect and share hasn’t lessened.

At the Iris Inn, we’re always delighted to see women arriving at the Inn to celebrate that friendship with a girlfriends’ weekend getaway! Getting away from it all and sharing with friends who understand you the best is its own therapy.

So what can you and your friends do while you’re visiting our Virginia b&b? Let’s start with the Inn.

A Girlfriends’ Getaway Starts with A Gourmet Breakfast

Pumpkin PancakesWhether you choose one of our secluded treehouse cabins, a cottage, or one of our main Inn rooms, the day always starts with a gourmet breakfast.

Our b&b breakfast reflects the seasons. Spring mornings start with juicy strawberries, waffles with freshly made whipped cream and bacon. A summer breakfast includes a cheesy omelet, fresh oranges, and French toast.

As the weather turns cooler, we turn up the heat with an Inn favorite, pumpkin pancakes, buttery scrambled eggs, and sausage. When Old Man Winter comes calling, expect our modified version of Eggs Benedict, yogurt parfait with a side of homemade granola.

Now it’s time to go play!
