What’s Showing at Black Friars This Holiday Season

Black Friars Presents Two Stellar Christmas Shows

A Christmas CarolIt just wouldn’t be the holidays without the American Shakespeare Center!

Why? ASC holiday performances make the air tingle and the holidays brighter.

This year is no exception. True to their holiday tradition, the Black Friars once again perform Dickens’ classic tale of miserliness and redemption.

Scrooge, the Cratchits, the Christmas ghosts, Marley, and, of course, Tiny Tim, will all be back to delight audiences.

A holiday favorite, A Christmas Carol, is beloved worldwide. And when it’s performed on stage, the play takes on a life of its own.

That’s because ASC always includes its audience in its performances. And certainly, A Christmas Carol is no exception.

Expect new surprises and twists, as well as lots of music, fun, and holiday cheer for the whole family!

Also showing this season is Every Christmas Story American Shakespeare CenterEver Told (And Then Some!)

This lighthearted, fast-paced gambol takes you on the journey of a lifetime; a Christmas journey, that is.

The play opens with three actors preparing for their roles in A Christmas Carol.

However, that soon devolves into a fun, if slightly irreverent, romp down the holiday path to end all holiday paths of Christmas shows, movies, and songs.

Family-friendly, hang on as the play takes you on a rollercoaster ride of fun and frivolity. Romp through your favorite holiday classics and more.

Loaded with Christmas carols and laughter, your holiday spirits will soar!

Black Friars After-Christmas Shows

Both holiday shows continue until December 27th. Check the schedule for show times.

Starting on the 28th, the Shakespeare classics Macbeth and Taming of the Shrew will be performed, along with Sense and Sensibility.
