This Year’s Feature is the Joy of Blended Wines

Huffington Post wine enthusiast, Ross Szabo, calls blended wines the “ice cream sundae of all of my favorite grapes.”

And 2018’s Winter Wine Weekend at the Iris Inn will teach you how to make your own custom blended wine using the Blendtique Custom Blending Wine Kit.

Surrounded by wine enthusiasts like yourself, it promises to be a weekend full of fun, food, and always superb wine. There’s no better way for a wine enthusiast to spend a weekend!

We’re scaling back our offerings for 2018 even though demand is high. So go ahead and reserve the weekend of your choice. 

January 26-28, 2018 and February 23-25, 2018

Iris Inn Winter Wine Weekends include:
  • We start the weekend off on Friday night with a “Get to Know You” wine and local cheese pairing. 
  • Then enjoy Friday night dinner on your own, but save room for a chocolate and port pairing back at the Iris Inn. We’ll sit in front of a roaring fire and relax!
  • Breakfast is always hearty at Iris Inn. But on this morning, we’re adding a sparkling Rose wine with your made-to-order omelet. 
  • Taste…Talk…and Sip…The highlight of Saturday’s lunch is learning how to blend your own personal wine. Then we’ll have it judged by a wine expert.
  • Marc Suspic, host of Wine Living, pairs our chef’s Saturday dinner with a carefully chosen wine for each course. 
  • Our Sunday send off breakfast is paired with a Cava wine. What better way to leave such a satisfying weekend than with happy taste buds and a wealth of new wine knowledge!
