Winter Wine Weekends

We are scaling down the offerings for 2018, yet the demand is still high. Be sure to watch for early bird prices in future newsletters and secure the weekend of your choice.

Iris Inn Winter Wine Weekends include:
  • Friday night wine and local cheese pairing. 
  • Friday night dinner is on your own, followed by a chocolate and port pairing back at the Iris Inn in front of the roaring fire. 
  • Breakfast at the Iris Inn where you enjoy a sparkling Rose wine with your made to order omelets.
  • Saturday lunch is served at the Inn while you learn how to blend your own personal wine, then have it judged by a wine expert. 
  • Saturday dinner is prepared by the Executive Chef, Caitie Maharg, and carefully chosen wine is paired with each course by wine expert, Marc Suspic.
  • Sunday breakfast is again paired with a Cava wine to send you on your way home with happy taste buds and a wealth of new wine knowledge.

Wine 101 & 201:

This wine filled weekend include dinner, wine pairings, informational sessions with our wine expert, Marc Suspic; sensory exploration, and much more, leaving you with happy taste buds and a wealth of new knowledge.

 

Wine 301: 

This weekend will include dinner, wine pairings, informational sessions with wine expert, Marc Suspic; a sensory exploration, and much more, leaving you with happy taste buds and a wealth of new knowledge. It’s all the fun of Wine 101, but amps up the challenge with blind wine tastings! The sensory evaluation/blind tasting occurs over a lunch and will also include a blind competition—Virginia wine vs. the Old-World.

 

Wine 401: (including an offsite winery tour at King Family Vineyards!)

This wine filled weekend include dinner, wine pairings, informational sessions, sensory exploration, and much more, leaving you with happy taste buds and a wealth of new knowledge.  There’s even a vertical tasting of King Family’s Meritage wine!
