Wine Living. He leads the participants through sensory explorations when he teaches the finer aromas and notes in wines. Each year new and returning faces come to enjoy exquisite dinners made right here which Marc expertly pairs with the world’s best wines. Each weekend has roughly the same format, with some added twists and turns along the way. Friday kicks off with wine and cheese pairing, then an evening port and chocolate pairing. Saturday’s breakfast is paired with Sparkling wine, and during lunch Marc does a presentation on aroma and flavor. The Wine 201 students had a fun time with a blind tasting, comparing Virginia wine to the Old World! This year, the Wine 301 group also enjoyed a field trip to King Family Vineyards where they did a vertical tasting of the winery’s famous Meritage. Dinner Saturday is wonderfully prepared, 6 course tasting menu paired with a plethora of amazing wines. Sad you missed out on the fun this year? Have no fear—our Wine classes will return in 2018!
