Shenandoah Valley Wine and Jazz Festival, Frontier Culture Museum, June 18, 2011
This coming Saturday is the Third Annual Shenandoah Valley Wine and Jazz Festival (if you couldn’t tell that from the title of this blog entry, we may have a problem with your nonobservance)! Besides the obvious music and alcohol, this event will be especially fascinating, because it is held at the fantastic Frontier Culture Museum in Staunton, VA. For those who have never been there, the Frontier Culture Museum recreates the homes and lifestyles of individuals from 15th century and 16th century England, Germany, Ireland, and West Africa. Observers have the privilege of taking a walking tour through these villages and experiencing the daily life of these hardworking individuals. If you live around this area, chances are that your children have been on at least one field trip to the museum, so perhaps you should ask them about it.
Consider this festival to be a grown-up field trip, and don’t forget that it’s a part of our Wine Therapy Weekends!!!! That’s a very important bit of information that should not be forgotten!!!!!! (I’m not sure how many exclamation points it would take to place enough emphasis on this fact!)
